Hey Everyone,
Wondering if you can help me out or shed a little light for me. Presently have an older Sony CT-550 soundbar which did good but, it's time to get something new. I didn't expects miracles from the soundbar as my TV setup is a corner one with a large opening on one side and windows on the other. I liked the extensive outputs/inputs (3 in/1 out which I use) and the sound was good for what it was. The other aspect I liked was that the CT-550 supported a lot of formats including TrueHD and DTS-MA. Been looking at several bars including the Sony CT-790 and NT5 which have similar features as the old Sony plus the additional 4k support which I'm looking for. I also considered the Yamaha YSP-2700 but with my TV layout felt that I wouldn't hear much benefit from the extra cost. The other one that I'm looking at is the Klipsch Reference RSB-14. It also has similar features but doesn't have support for the high def audio (TrueHD/DTSMA) but supports Dolby Digital. Does that lack of audio support make a big difference with the sound? Should it be a deal breaker for me? Please let me know what you think.
