I have a Samsung TV and a Vizio soundbar. The Vizio soundbar does not have hdmi input or output. I would like to be able to have the Samsung TV remote control the soundbar volume. From what I'm gathering on this forum and elsewhere, it looks the only way I can do that is to buy a different soundbar that has an Hdmi-ARC port. Is that correct?
Otherwise, I assume that my only option for having one remote that controls both the TV and the soundbar volume is to use a universal remote (e.g. Logitech Harmony). This is my least prefered option. That's why I'm trying to figure out how to achieve my preferred option of having the Samsung remote control the soundbar volume. |
