I'll phone Amazon and see what's up. Sometimes they say usually ships in 1-2 days, or 1-2 weeks, but rarely have I seen 1-2 month.

Just called amazon the HT-CT770 is actually used/refurb at that price, and is only available for a limited time. I guess I'll just go with the 380 model.

If you really want something that's good at producing music, why are you only looking at a soundbar?
A setup consisting of a Sony STR-DH550 A/V receiver and a pair of their nice SS-CS5 bookshelf speakers comes to about $330 before tax (Amazon prices).  Add in some cheap speaker wire, plus HDMI or optical cables (which you probably already have), and you'll have an all-Sony setup that will sound worlds better than the tiny speaker drivers cramped into a soundbar.  Better yet, you can grow with the system by adding a subwoofer, a center channel, or upgrading the speakers altogether.  Unlike a soundbar, you won't have to scrap the whole system next time you feel like upgrading.
Just my two cents.

Got my Sony sound bar HtXT1 last week at best buy as an open box item for $257 and totally satisfied, Love the look, plays perfect with my Sony XBR55x850c, Directv box, Sammy UHD 4K player in the bedroom.  Sound is great and yet not overpowering like the 7.1 in the home theater with subwoofer.  It is great for night tv watching and movies. Totally satisfied with the product.
