Leather Sofa completely messes up speaker responses

Hey,
Have you guys experienced this?
I had a soft suede chaise style L shaped sofa for the past few years, and I have lived with this sofa in two houses.
Note: In the below graphs ignore everything below 100hz, I had diff subs etc integrated, the stuff we are looking at is above this..
Here is my old house,

Here is my new house,

I mean, not amazing, but not BAD either, pretty good sound TBH.
Now look what happened when I bought the exact same shape and size couch, but in leather. NOTHING else in the room changed in the new house.

A few inches forward...

Utter trash!
Has anybody experienced this? This cannot be fixed with Audyssey...
I literally have to think about buying a different couch once again. I had no idea this could happen to such extremes. I guess its cancellations from the leather in those higher frequencies...
Thoughts?
Anyone with similar experiences?
The offending couch

Its SO comfortable, total bummer man. But I can actually hear the worse FR.
