Recently the right signal in my shure se215 started to go bad so I figured I'd look to buy an upgrade instead of just the cable. I got the Shure se535 but right away noticed that the treble and mid-range was much louder and essentially drowned out the bass. The bass in the se215 actually seem to be louder.
I'm not sure if this is because I'm playing from an iPhone 7 and it just doesn't have the power to drive them or if it just the headphones. I've ordered a FiiO A3 portable amp to see if that can help as well but not sure if it will.
I had also order the Sennheiser IE 800 (found them for $599) and absolutely LOVED them but the cables are detachable and thats a deal breaker for me.
Any thoughts on how I should go about this?
I order the Westone w40's as well to see how they sound too...
