Hi all,
Can you please help with some suggestions on height speakers for Atmos / DTS:X?
My current setup is a 5.2.2 with front height speakers. The Klipsch RS-25 in white.
As this is a discontinued product, I'm having trouble finding a pair on ebay for Rear heights to go to a 5.2.4 setup.
I would like to note that I don't want to install in-ceiling speakers or go with up-firing modules.
I'm restricted to small white speakers in a front / rear height configuration.
Back in the 90s I had a pair of these paired with a JBL Subwoofer and was highly impressed with them:
(although 20 years have gone by and my acoustic memory might be a bit skewed)

I was surprised that they are still an active product. I can easily find 2 pairs on ebay and a very attractive price range or purchase them new from parts-express.
Will these serve my purpose well (as they are pro monitors)? I'm not looking to timbre match my existing speakers as they are from the 80s and I find that would be quite impossible.
Any other suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks

Yes, they would serve your purpose, and timbre matching really is not a big deal (in my opinion) with regards to Atmos speakers. Most important for your R/C/L speakers. Some may disagree.
Here is another option available in white:

How much sound comes from Front Height Speakers?

Of the two mentioned, go with the Prime Elevation speakers, the other ones you mentioned are 4ohm speakers and you may have trouble level matching with your Klipsch since they are so efficient.

You don't need much for Atmos speakers.  Low frequencies are cut off below about 125khz.  Apparently low frequencies interfere with Atmos placing the objects in space.

EV can work -- however so can the Canton GXL.3, and this price is for the pair
