Does anyone foresee acoustic issues building the 88 Special wider, shorter, with the SEOS15 in the center and the 8" woofers on the side? Trying to get the TV as low as possible while keeping the depth.
Say 10" Tall and 37.8 Wide, by 9" Deep?

                        iirc,
it was exactly because of "acoustic issues" that  it exists as it is today,
maybe
@Erich H
or someone else at DIYSG can point you in the right direction. .

                        The center-to-center distance of the 8's will cause problems with comb filtering.  This is why the Fusion 8 center's crossover is set lower than the Fusion 8 tower's crossover, despite having identical drivers and horns.

                        As rsvr stated--comb filtering will destroy the design,
The 1099 would work better because the 3 way allows a much lower crossover to the tens so no comb filtering.  The 10" horn is at least 5" narrower, the dual 5" mids are directly under the horn and the dual 10 inchers cross around 500Hz or lower so that is the secret sauce.
Good luck!
