Is there such thing as an avr (not a prepro) with balanced outs?

Does any manufacturer make such a thing?  Any chance it'll ever happen?
Im slow rolling my move to separates, with an a3050 and an at525nc (5-channel) amp.  Running 5.1.2 in main, and 2 channels in zone 2.   Speakers are ml esl.
Avrs seem to have enough power to run atmos and zone 2, but id like to move to a dv compatible receiver.   The prepro route would add the cost (and space) of another amp, ugh.
Does xlr make enough of a difference to worry about it?

Yes.  Marantz has it.  I have the Marantz av7702mkII.  And it has rca and xlr outputs.  And it has all the new stuff.  It as atmos and some other HT setting.  I think I can run up to 14 speakers

Yes, the 7702 posted, it's replacement the 7703 and the Marantz 8802: http://us.marantz.com/us/Products/Pa...ductId=AV8802A
No. Unless you have very long runs or a very noisy (electrical) environment.

The new Yamaha RX-A3070 has XLR for the two fronts only. All others are RCA. Only AVR that I know of with any XLR connections at this time. I agree with others that RCA connections are good enough for your application.

The Anthem AVM60 also has balanced outputs and has all of the latest technology.  I've had it since early 2016 and I love it for what it's worth.

As someone else mentioned, the balanced outputs don't make that much  difference except for long runs.  Probably makes the most difference  with subwoofers for that reason (need a sub with balanced inputs though,  I have two Rythmik F25's that have balanced inputs).

The OP wants a Receiver not pre-pro if I'm reading correctly.

Off the top of my head...
Yamaha CX-A5100
Marantz 7703
Marantz 8802
Acurus ACT4
AudioControl Maestro M9 (height channels are RCA)
Anthem AVM60
DataSat, Trinnov, McIntosh etc of course, but a different tax bracket for sure.

Hrm, then none I am aware of. Some will have balanced outs for L&R, but nothing else. Can't be that many AVRs that even have unbalanced outputs any more.

That's right.  The question was about AVRs specifically - so that I could use the amps in the AVR for my "lesser" channels - and the external amp for the key 5.
Of course Pre-Pro's have the balanced outs -

It looks like the Yamaha has only 2 balanced inputs not outputs as the OP is looking for.
