I've been testing three wireless speakers so far (Oppo Sonica, Phorus PS5, and Wren V5US) and none of them support something as simple as left/right volume balance.
Why is that? Even $5 desktop speakers from the 90s supported left/right balance control.
And how do folks deal with the situation? E.g. if your listening location is not exactly in the center between two speakers in a stereo configuration, or if you just want to make one speaker louder than the other due to the room's acoustics? None of the Play-Fi apps I've used had balance control.
A Phorus customer rep claimed that the speakers are designed so that changing "frequency balance" could damage the drivers, but I'm not sure they understood what I meant.
